ABBA KEDDUS‘Rastafari and the Return of our Sacred Origins’ ~ Excerpt by Tyson Brown
Tyson Brown completed graduate studies at the University of England’s School of Oriental and African Studies still hungry for learning. So, he embarked on a path of travel and self-directed research in Europe, the Caribbean, Egypt, and Ethiopia. The knowledge and experience gained during these years provided inspiration for his subsequent work as a teacher and a writer. As a descendent of the African-Americans who escaped slavery by fleeing to Canada in the 1850’s, the legacy of the Underground Railroad has always been a strong influence in his life and work. Firmly rooted in the faith of Rastafari, Tyson currently lives in Toronto with a future vision of heading back to the east.
