The TROD | USA

Washington DC, USA — Donisha Prendergast visits the Smithsonian Institute’s DISCOVERING RASTAFARI exhibit. She reasons with curator, Jake Homiak about the roots and inspirations in the birth of Rastafari: Marcus Garvey; Emperor Haile Selassie; as well as her Grandfather, Bob Marley, and his role as a “major conduit” in the popularization of the philosophies of Rastafari around the world. This visit springboards her quest to travel to the various countries to learn more.

Rastafari to I and I is love and peace. Rasta is balance and harmony. Rasta is in everything I and I do….how I and I treat people, how I and I treat ourselves, how we talk, how we live, how we love, how we overcome.Rasta is a spiritual journey that helps I and I find one self.Rasta is a spiritual movement that spreads love, peace, and equality .Rasta is everything and every where. One Love

Rasta to me means cgnhae,we must cgnhae or humainty is doomed. We must stop the hate, we must embrace truth and defeat the evil doers out there who are intent on destroying our lives and our future, rasta is survival, rasta is about concious awakening, rasta is about caring for other people no matter where they live, rasta is about giving credit where credit is due, rasta is about having the courage to be honest, his Imperial Majesty is the focal point for all the good and decent people around the world to unite under one single banner, and make a stand against injustice and oppresion.

    “When
people ask me that question ’What is Rasta?” I think that’s the pfeerct answer. It’s a soul’s journey – to find self and to understand self. It’s a peace, in this crazy world. More than a religion that many people think it is it’s a way of life. It’s a culture. You have to live it every day, to really connect and understand.” ~ John Aaron Dalagdog (PHILIPPINES)

Blessings Donisha,Rasta is the voice of the Most High, which is expressed tougrhh the scriptures and the recitation of the words of wisdom and encouragement from the prophets. Rasta is the soul of the Most High, expressed tougrhh drum rhythms and joyful Binghi dances. Rasta is the heart of the Most High, made manifest tougrhh the words and gestures of love shared by brethren and sistren connecting all in inity, and tougrhh our willingness to serve humanity. Rasta enables all to find their true identity as citizens of the world and children of the Most High, and royal heirs to a rich, beautiful homeland. Through Rasta, we uncover our true connection to the Divine and His infinite wisdom.Peace, love, blessings, health and strength to you always
